Vail Ranches, LLC was started in 1997 by brothers, Howard and Richard Elmore. Vail Ranches is a continuation of the family farm started by their great grandfather John Elmore Sr. in 1928 and successful growth of the farming operation achieved by their father, John Jameson Elmore. Today, Vail Ranches is a diversified farming operation growing lettuce, carrots, celery, corn, alfalfa, sudan, and bermuda grass on over 5,000 acres. Together, Howard, Richard, and general ranch manager, Bruce Smith, combine over 100 years of collective farming experience at Vail Ranches to provide the highest quality vegetables and premium hay to each of their customers and sales partners.
